I have been watching this movie.  Now with a different eye.  The father is not happy because his daughter is “getting old” and does not have prospects of getting married.  So when the now boyfriend comes to the house, he does not want him dating, why, he is upset at not being asked in the first place.  What really is going on is there is grief in that the man is not Greek. Now he is unhappy that she is in love and wants to get married….How can his daughter do this to him?
Is is really about the man not being Greek or is there something deeper?  It could also be about loosing
his daughter to another man.  Although he wants her to be married, she now has been living at home for so long.<\/p>\n
