He has risen! What a great season to be in, the church year of Easter and the season of spring. Both offer life in their coming. Spring, we begin to see the awaking of life that has been dormant over winter. Yes, this long long long long winter we had this year. Winter brought the cold and snow and this winter brought even more cold and snow that just would not leave. However, that helps us to appreciate all the more what spring has to offer.<\/p>\n

We traveled through Lent and Holy Week; both also help us to appreciate what Easter has to offer. And, no it is not Easter eggs! That being said, for those that did make Easter eggs this year, the decorations, how pretty and unique each of them are, like us. We are all unique and all pretty to God, clothed now in the redemption received in Christ.<\/p>\n

As we contemplated during Lent what was about to happen, we were given a chance to think about what our new lives could be like in the impending death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. How do we respond to what God does for us in Jesus? What can we now look forward to? Does that change our outward appearance? What does God see on the inside of us both before and now?<\/p>\n

He has risen in new life, though he was dead, Jesus is now alive. Though we were dead to the law, we are now alive, alive in Christ because we to died. Our new life comes from death, death upon the cross of our living God. How do you respond to that?<\/p>\n

As you experience the newness in life this spring, think of Jesus of Nazareth, who drank from the cup, did as our Father asked of Him. Not for Himself but for us, each and everyone of us, the entire world, so that all who believe in Him might have eternal life with God the Father, Jesus the Christ and the Holy Spirit.
