I think many people have a preconceived notion of just what/who Native Americans are and how they act. These brought on by our inaccurate recorded history, movies, books, articles and news stories. I have posted two videos here.
One is a news story done by Diane Sawyer did on the Lakota Children of Pine Ridge Indian reservation. Although she highlights the issues that face the people of the Lakota, there is an argument of why not let the Lakota tell the story, rather than potentially exploit them through this news story.
Here is a response from the Lakota children. This video was done by the children and teachers of Rosebud reservation, a neighboring reservation to Pine Ridge. At the time of the video, Rosebud is in the second poorest county in America. Only second to the county that Pine Ridge is in.
